Carrot Cave
HOLD SPACE TO BOUNCE (For every bounce you jump higher, do not bump into the roof)
Made in 2 days for 6th Alakajam!
Your goal is to leave the cave before the turtle, else you'll be trapped forever! Beware, each level you beat makes the turtle faster and faster, grab carrots to slow down the turtle.
CONTROLS:
- A,Left Arrow - Move left
- D,Right Arrow - Move right
- Space - Jump / HOLD TO BOUNCE
- Enter - Pause/Start button
The turtle is at advantage, his path is straight with no hazards in the way, but naturally, he's still a turtle so he's very slow; be swift and nimble

sometimes the bounce won't work. is this intentional?
The game was made for a jam so we didn't have too much time to settle things correctly, sorry!
As of now if you bump yourself against the roof or get a carrot you stop bouncing.
Very nice game and idea! I really liked how it was the normal rabbit vs. turtle story but with a twist! At first I didn't realise the bouncy jumping thing and I was very confused on how to get up on the platforms. But when I retried it and actually played the game right it was so fun! When the music sped up and the turtle starting going faster and you could just feel the pressure, Amazing!
I don't know if you've heard of Game Development World Championship before (gdwc2019) but it's a competition for indie game developers where they can submit their games and it's free! It's great if you want some more visibility for the game and it only takes a couple of minutes to join :)
